At Terso ("we," "our," or "us"), your privacy is our top priority. We designed Terso from the ground up to ensure that your personal media and data remain strictly confidential and under your control.
This Privacy Policy explains how Terso handles your information when you use our mobile application (the "App").
Terso operates under a Privacy-by-Design architecture. All features, including Smart AI Search, Visual Search, Similar Photo Cleaning, OCR Text Recognition, and Private Vault Encryption, are processed 100% locally on your iOS device using Apple's native Vision and Machine Learning frameworks.
No Photo Uploads: Your photos, videos, and media library are never uploaded, transmitted, or backed up to any external servers or third-party cloud services.

No Account Required: You do not need to register, create an account, or provide personal details (such as your name, phone number, or email address) to use Terso.
2. Information We Access and How It Is Used
To provide the App’s core functionalities, Terso requests permissions to access specific device capabilities. All data accessed through these permissions remains on your device:
Photo Library Access: Required to index, search, group duplicates, and display your media. We do not store or transmit your photos off-device.
Camera Access (Optional): Required only if you capture new media directly within the App.
Face ID / Touch ID / Passcode: Used solely for local biometric authentication to unlock your Private Vault. Biometric data is managed securely by Apple’s iOS system (Secure Enclave); Terso cannot view, collect, or store your biometric data.
Local Network (Wi-Fi Transfer): Used to establish a direct, encrypted local server connection between your iPhone and desktop browser on the same Wi-Fi network for high-speed transfers. No media passes through external internet servers during Wi-Fi transfers.
3. Analytics and Crash Reporting
We believe in minimal data collection.
No Tracking or Profiling: We do not track your activity across other apps or websites, nor do we sell, rent, or share any user data with advertisers or third-party brokers.
Anonymous Diagnostics: We may use Apple’s built-in, privacy-preserving developer analytics or anonymized crash reporting to improve App performance and stability. This data is strictly non-identifiable and aggregated by Apple.
4. Third-Party Services
Terso does not integrate third-party advertising SDKs, tracking frameworks, or data-mining tools that harvest your personal information.
5. Children's Privacy
Because Terso does not collect personal data from any user, we do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions).

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect App updates or legal requirements. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Effective Date." We encourage you to review this page periodically.
